CLC is a body of people who desire to serve God shoulder to shoulder (Zep 3:9). We know that each alone can do little, but working together shows our dependence on God and glorifies Him.

Each Sunday service, class and activity is filled with people who serve because they love God. We value each position as important. There are no less honorable positions. It’s much like a movie production, we have people in front of the “camera” such as our pastors, speakers, music teams, drama teams, ushers and teachers and then we have people “behind the scenes” such as visuals crew, sound people, roadies, administrators, prayer groups, mentors and hospitality helpers. Without each piece, we would be hard pressed to see the services, classes, fellowships and communities happen because God says that we need part to create a body.

Ushers: Team members welcome, greet, meet, and direct people to their seats during worship service. They also coordinate materials that inform the community of current events, help with attendance and offering. If you are interested in helping in this ministry, please contact Leslie Kong.

Sunday Fellowship: Team members coordinate, set-up, provide snacks and beverages during and after worship services and clean-up. At times, members also assist with larger events. If you enjoy being a host(ess) or enjoy feeding others, please contact Pastor Calvin Yim. Neither baking nor cooking experience is required.

Music: Team members lead our congregation in worshipping God through song, scripture, and prayer. Please contact Pastor Andrew if you would like to help on a team.

Drama: Team members role-play and act out drama as a means to reach the audience in a way which words sometimes are not able. If you enjoy being in front of the camera or making people laugh then please contact, Norman Yim.

Sound: Team members produce the sound that our community hears on Sundays as well as messages which people hear via digital means. Please contact Pastor Andrew if you are interested in this ministry.

Visual: Team members work with MS Powerpoint and other programs to display song lyrics, message outlines, scripture and other media during service. No experience necessary. Please contact Bruce Kaneshiro if you are interested in this ministry.

SUS: Team members prepare the room for worship by setting up chairs, tables, screens and décor. They also provide exterior signage and security to the building. If you are interested in this ministry, please contact Richard Yu.

Missions: Team members educate, motivate, and mobilize the congregation in the area of world missions, review and recommend missionaries and missions organizations, and participate in special missions projects. If you are interested in this ministry, please contact Gordon Wang.

Compassion: Team members inspire, encourage, and equip our congregation to obey God's call to be compassionate in the name of Christ as he is compassionate to those outside our church who are in need. If you are interested in this ministry, please contact Jesse Lee.

Youth Ministry: This ministry provides teaching, fellowship and mentoring to our junior and senior high students through activities on Sundays and other days during the week. Team members may be teachers, counselors, schedulers, mentors, or background support. Darren Higuchi is the Youth Director. He would be happy to entertain any question you may have.

Children’s Ministry: This ministry focuses on our youngest members from almost walking until 5^th grade. If you love working with a lively bunch, this is the ministry for you. We have four main areas: toddlers, preschool-Kindergarten, 1^st & 2^nd graders and then 3^rd -5^th graders. The members may be teachers, counselors, assistants, schedulers, greeters, snack providers, and/or floater. Pastor Cheryl Garlick oversees this ministry and would be happy to speak with you if you have interests in helping with our children.
